PreFlight Aviation Camp is an educational summer camp experience and an investment in a young girls future! Yet PreFlight is not only about aviation. It is about empowering all girls to believe that anything is a possibility for their life.
PreFlight creates an interactive learning environment by providing fun and engaging hands-on activities in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM). The highlight of camp is the end of camp discovery flight.

- Weather
- Radio communications
- Weight and balance
- UAVs with Skydio drones
- Careers in aviation
- Goal Setting
Each girl will receive an exclusive opportunity to pilot a flight simulator and get a birds-eye view of the campus during their private flight with a female instructor pilot. It is during this capstone event that the campers graduate from seeing to BELIEVING. The girls will have the opportunity to develop teamwork, leadership, and problem solving skills during many hands on activities. Each camp also goes on a tour of a local aviation business or Air Force Base. For example, our Colorado campers have been to the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO and in Texas, they have visited Randolph Air Force Base.
What sets us apart is our balanced approach to relate each topic back to broader life lessons, creating healthy dialogues used to uplift each camper and empower them to reach their goals. You don’t have to already have an interest in aviation to attend PreFlight…we provide new and enriching experiences for any girl!
Throughout PreFlight, the girls will be inspired through daily mentorship from PreFlight staff, all of whom are successful women in the aviation industry. Each girl will also receive educational materials regarding local flight schools, university aviation programs, and flight scholarships.
The inspiration for PreFlight was born from the legacy of the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP), the first female military pilots of WWII, and their history is another strong emphasis throughout the camp.
The activities experienced at PreFlight Aviation Camp give a young girl the opportunity to explore aviation, build confidence, and teach her that anything is a possibility for her future! PreFlight can’t wait for YOU to takeoff with us this summer!
